Associate Membership
Requirements
Associate membership of the UK-SBA is open to applicants with the following qualifications or experience:
- PgDip, MSc or Ph.D in Behaviour Analysis (courses include a BACB/ABAI Verified Course Sequence) MSc or Ph.D in Psychology or Education or PBS with focus on behaviour analysis (courses include a BACB/ABAI Verified Course Sequence)
- OR
- ABA Practitioner: practitioner with at least 1000 hours behaviour analytic experience.
Evidence Required
- Diploma/Degree certificate and BACB/ABAI-approved course sequence transcript
- OR
- Employer evidence of ≥ 2 years (approximately 1000 hours) experience in the field AND Letter of support from Full Member or equivalent (e.g. a BCBA who is not a member of the UK-SBA) verifying the applicant’s experience.
The UK-SBA Reference template created for this purpose should be completed by your employer and attached as your supporting evidence.
Please do not forget to also attach a separate letter of support from a Full Member or equivalent; there is no set template for this letter.

Associate members may stand for UK-SBA Board positions and have full voting rights. Associate membership also entitles members to a discount on UK-SBA event registration, discounts on EABG and EABA conference registration, and access to members-only website areas.

Note: CPD hours should be behaviour analytic in nature and organised by a BACB Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Provider
